October month is a kick start for all the big holidays of the year. Yesterday was Diwali, the biggest Indian festival and one of my favorite ones. I always look forward to it every year. Candle lighting, delicious food and wearing traditional outfit are the highlights of this day and yesterday was no different. Talking of festivals reminds me of Halloween, which is also coming next week. I am sure all of you who celebrates have their cool costumes ready. I must say I never dressed up for the day in a themed costume but I just love to watch others do it. More than the Halloween day itself, I enjoy the related festivities that starts from the beginning of the month. All the little things that reminds you that a holiday is coming, like decorations, pumpkin lattes, pies and carving traditions.

This week, I got myself into the Halloween spirit by adding a pop of pumpkin color. Couldn’t think of a better time to carry this beautiful satchel by Michael Kors. Wearing a black & white art print shirt along with a pair of black leather paneled leggings. Topped the outfit with a leather vest and nude pumps.

These pumps are one of those pairs that I keep wearing time to time. They are my summer favorites that I cleverly picked for this look. I don’t think any other color could have done the justice as much as them. Another example of surpassing the seasonal color rule with pairing tricks.

The key to add a pop of color is Keeping everything else neutral. Its the only way you can accentuate the beauty of a bright color and all the magic that it does to a look.
