When it comes to chic cover-ups, ponchos and capes have always been my favorites. The former makes me feel I left home right out of my bed along with the blanket :). A great combination of feeling cozy and looking super stylish. I wore this particular outfit to my doctor’s appointment recently. This poncho is light enough to easily carry around and I just love the rich colors and graphic pattern. A great way to add burst of colors to an otherwise plain ensemble.
Since the poncho is so colorful, I decided to do an all-black look as a base. The pairing of black cashmere turtleneck with black stretchy midi looked almost like a dress and I equally loved that outcome. This outfit is another example of wearing non-maternity items with few styling tricks. The sweater is an oversize fit and the jersey midi is soft and stretchy enough to feel comfortable around the belly. It can be either pulled up bypassing the belly or folded down completely towards the lower waist.
By trying and testing so many clothing options during my maternity journey so far, I guess I have gained some good insight around do’s and don’ts of maternity styling. I am planning to do a full post on maternity style guide, and hopefully I’ll share that soon.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a fabulous day!
